I got the blues

I’ve been using OS X on my Mac for a little while now. I generally like it well enough, and there are some things I really like. But I have a peeve. Too many blue icons. Shown above is my dock, containing some of the programs I use most frequently. It’s hard to tell them apart at a glance because of the uniform color. Can’t the designers inject some yellow, or purple, or whatever?

if you have trouble with the blue Icons go get CandyBar by Panic makers of audion - http://www.panic.com it is an icon replacement utility that is about 12 bucks and it rocks . . .

I’m aware of it. I’m really griping more about the prevailing blue aesthetic–it looks fine in isolation, but in context becomes a usability problem.

I could fix the problem on my machine, but it would still be a problem at large. Complaining about it here might not help, but, well, this is where I complain about things.
