This was a really interesting bike facility. Mesa has a bike lane that runs E-W for a very long way (which I rode), and they’ve installed one of these every couple miles so people can stop and get shade, a valuable commodity around here. Some also had water, I think.
I’ve been riding for 34 miles today and I’m still not out of the greater Phoenix area.
In addition to an airplane on top of a vintage car hauler, some interesting cars from the 40s—60s, this place also had a half-track.
Saw this sign at the B&B Bait Shop as I was leaving. Of course I had slept out in the open near foodstuffs. Obviously nothing and happened.
In Phoenix. 110 miles today. Need to connect with my old friend Carlos.
