Damage control

Our fearless leader has spent 42% of his term on vacation. I realize there hasn’t been a whole lot going on that would require his attention, but this number is still surprising.

Then again, it’s probably a blessing in disguise. The more time he spends on the job, the more he can screw up.

  1. yeah, not a whole lot going on – just the specter of the world’s #1 military power launching a war on a country that would be a banana republic … if it had any bananas …

and the specter of major curbs on civil liberties by the world’s #1 country in terms of its (stated) dedication to liberty …

hmm, maybe it’s a good thing he HAS been on vacation so much; think how bad it would be if he’d actually been in the WHITE HOUSE most of this time!

  2. Ya but who is watching the (white) house while he is golfing with his mom? I would rather have Bush calling the shots than Rumsfeld and Cheney.
