I was in west Texas, in Lubbock, to be exact (Mac Davis sang that Happiness is Lubbock in your rear-view mirror), amazed at all the wrecked cars on the side of straight highways. As if people just finally get so bored that they give up and spontaneously drive off the road.
Yeee-ep. I remember my ride across West Texas. Great scenery, fun encounters w/folks … But ATROCIOUSLY ass-grinding pavement.
