  1. That first article’s a doozy, isn’t it? It’s almost amusing to hear the rabid right defend the inequities of the Electoral College as fair and balanced “protection for traditional values.” Yes, those rural farmers and Midwestern factory workers DESERVE a weightier vote than those coastal hipsters because… because… uh… what was the reason exactly? Oh right, right… because you AGREE with them.

    But let’s not kid ourselves. If the situation were reversed, the politics would also be reversed. Meaning, if the Dems would benefit more from keeping the Electoral College, then they would definitely be all for upholding it, and if the Republicans would benefit from abolishing it, well, it would probably already be gone.
